Company News >> What To Do Between Laser Hair Removal Treatments?
Between hair removal treatments the only thing that is recommended is shaving. Waxing, threading or tweezing should be stopped all together prior and during any hair removal procedures.
After the laser hair removal treatment, the treated area will be cleared of most of the present hair , while the rest of the treated hair will shed in two weeks leaving the area smooth and clean. The hair will grow back between treatments.

With continued treatments, most patients do not have to worry about excess hair growth between treatments. The more hairs are in the same growth cycle, the more effective the laser treatment will be.
It is imperative not to wax or tweeze. Tweezing and waxing will not only remove the target for the next laser treatment, they will disrupt the synchronization of hair growth cycles that we are trying to achieve with the treatments. It is best not to wax for two to four weeks prior to laser hair removal depending on the rate of your hair growth. You would like to see the hair just starting to point out of the epidermis as it grows back to have effective treatment.

It is best to avoid depilatory creams between laser hair removal treatments. Depilatory creams can dissolve a portion of the hair shaft which may make future laser sessions less beneficial.
It is fine, however, to shave between treatments. In fact, if your hair is long, shaving before a treatment can allow for a more effective treatment. There is no need to grow hair out. Shave between treatments and ultimately there will be no need to shave.

It is recommended that you avoid shaving the area you have treated for the first few days after treatment. This allows the area to heal better and helps to stop inflicting the area with anymore trauma. After around four days you can start shaving any hair, which re-grows.

When shaving the area you have treated, you can also tell whether laser hair removal treatment is working. If the treatment is working effectively, you will shave less than before and this should reduce with the more treatments you have. If you shave just as much as you did before having treatment, then perhaps laser hair removal is not working effectively for you and you should raise your concerns with your practitioner.
Timing between treatments is also very important. Different areas of the body have different hair growth cycles. In order to catch the most hair in the active cycle during your laser hair removal sessions treatments should be scheduled according to the hair growth cycles.
